Speed improvements

We promise to give you no more excuses. Well, we are working on stripping out every single excuse you could possibly throw at us for not getting down to your writing. The app working faster being one of them. We are looking at dozens of small changes to improve load-speed of the app, speed of changing chapters, speed of settings screen load, stats calculation and many other things. This might not be a thrilling one for you guys but the cumulative effect of a quarter-second delay here and there can be very frustrating so we are working on making Novlr as smooth as we possibly can.

I type pretty fast, and that has been the thing I noticed most on Novlr, is that I keep having to wait for it to catch up.
Perhaps the offline mode might make this easier? I haven’t been able to find it yet, so haven’t tried it.

Thanks for your comment Kimber. Try going offline and see if it improves, if not, you could try clearing your browser history to see if that speeds things up?

I wasn’t quite sure where to put this, but I had the idea that when you log into your account it should open to the last “chapter” you were working on. It seems small, but in terms of efficiency, I seem to always be wishing it’d take me right to where I last left off so I’m not having to open the list and click on the “chapter”. I like the idea in terms of being able to quickly read what I last wrote and get immediately back into my groove. I placed quotes around chapter because I realize that title might change.

Hi LV – We think this will be a great addition also so will definitely be looking into adding it into a future release 🙂 Thanks for the suggestion!
